Our Cedar Garden Planters are handcrafted from 100% Western Red Cedar. We personally hand-select the side boards and trim from available stock at our supplier, choosing the best-looking boards with the fewest knots for each planter. The legs are made from sturdy 2×4 Western Red Cedar lumber.They are assembled using ceramic-coated screws and high-quality, non-toxic wood glue. The glue is solvent-free, FDA-approved for indirect food contact, and rated for outdoor use — making these boxes safe for growing vegetables and herbs.A solid cedar top rail adds a clean, finished look and extra strength. It is securely attached with both wood glue and hot-dipped galvanized cabinet screws.The interior is lined with heavy-duty landscape fabric. This allows excellent drainage while keeping soil contained inside the box.
These planters are unfinished. You can leave them to naturally weather to a beautiful silver-gray patina, or apply paint or stain to match your garden style.
